The choir rehearses Sunday mornings from 9 to 10 AM beginning in September.
First Friday Coffeehouse features local acoustic music. The Coffeehouse happens every first Friday of the month from October through June at 7:30 PM in Pilgrim Hall (aka, the gym). The public is invited.
Watch for announcement of organ concerts, piano recitals, flute concerts, chamber music and much more.
Accompanying the choir and Sunday worship is Derek Schaible, a Senior in Piano Performance in the Music department at Idaho State University. Derek has been with us since his Freshman year at ISU, and he learned about our job from an advertisement posted in the Business Administration building. Derek is from Idaho Falls, where his family has been involved with the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. He told us that he showed interest in music as a child, so his parents supported lessons for him. Derek plays our 1914 Estey pipe organ.
The organ underwent extensive renovation in 1991. The work was completed by Frans W.M. Bosman & Associates of Mosier, Oregon. Frans Bosman continues to maintain the instrument today. The organ has 22-ranks.
